Senior Ultrasound Technologist - Providence Anchorage
Position Summary:
Perform the essential functions of a Registered Sonographer, including evaluating sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing, obtaining clinical history, conducting physical assessments, and providing technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in diagnosis. Credentials from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in at least three specialties (including vascular technology) are required; new graduates may attain additional specialties after hire.
Responsibilities
Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing.
Obtain clinical history and conduct physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols.
Provide technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to assist physicians in rendering medical diagnoses.
Maintain documentation and communicate findings with the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a one-year ultrasound program or equivalent training.
Associate's Degree in a related health‑care field or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers credentials.
Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or National Registered Technologist – Sonography.
Within 6 months of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of recent full‑time paid experience in abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular technology.
Recent experience in neuro sonography.
Benefits & Compensation Position is full‑time, 1.0 FTE, variable shift, 40 hours per week, located onsite at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
$10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires meeting required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Relocation assistance available for eligible hires meeting required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Pay Range:
$47.39 - $73.56
per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
