Holtec Decommissioning International (HDI) is currently seeking a Designer / Drafter to join the Palisades Nuclear Plant team in Covert, MI. Job Summary Designer/Drafters contribute to building and maintaining the design basis of the nuclear power plant. Drafters ensure configuration control and create products used throughout the organization to maintain and repair the plant. Job Duties / Responsibilities Creates technical drawings or designs for equipment, structures, electronics, and processes. Coordinates with Engineering to ensure the accuracy and usability of plant design documents. Reads, interprets, and applies information from manufacturer’s drawings, catalogs, and other information in creating design documents. Minimum Requirements Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED; Desired: Associate degree in technical design or computer-aided drafting. Experience: All experience levels considered. Nuclear Power Plant experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have demonstrated proficiency in drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, CAD tools, and engineering terms, including the use of materials, reference books and catalogs. Good to excellent communication skills. Experience / proficiency in PC use and applications, depending upon engineering level. Certificates / Licenses: CAD certification or similar training or experience desired.
