Our client is seeking an Email Marketing Lead to join their team onsite in the Portland, OR area. This is a fulltime 3 month contract to start with potential to extend or turn into a fulltime opportunity working up to 4 days in-office and one day remote. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision and more.
Ideal Candidate: will have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of email marketing experience, at least 1 year in mobile marketing, and advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Slides, and the full Microsoft Office suite.
Role Overview:
In this role, you'll collaborate with the digital marketing team to shape and execute email and SMS campaigns that engage audiences, grow leads, and drive conversions- working cross-functionally to deliver impactful content, smart audience segmentation, and continual campaign optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategies to grow and optimize email and mobile marketing lists.
- Create engaging email and SMS content that supports campaigns and key business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager, Merchandising, and Creative teams to develop impactful messaging—writing briefs, shaping strategy, and providing thoughtful feedback.
- Identify and implement new opportunities to enhance email and SMS programs through trigger campaigns, automation, and complementary cross-channel strategies.
- Contribute to audience segmentation, insights, and analytics to drive more targeted and effective campaigns.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and evolving platform capabilities to continually improve performance.
- Maintain accurate, well-segmented audience lists to ensure precise targeting.
- Oversee email deliverability and proactively resolve any technical or performance issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of email marketing experience
• 1+ year of mobile marketing experience
• Strong understanding of email technical and design best practices, link and landing page strategies
• Experience developing, building, and tracking email metrics for both batch and trigger programs
• Experience developing marketing alongside internal teams and managing a marketing calendar
• Strong analytic skills with an ability to communicate results to the larger Direct team and senior management
• High proficiency with Excel, Google Slides & Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with time and project management systems Trello, Jira/Confluence or similar a plus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SFRA/SFCC) or similar eCom platform, HTML, Digital design tools
