A proactive, highly organized Marketing Project Manager with hands-on experience in supporting a consumer brand on Shopify. You turn strategy into clear plans, timelines, and tasks. You understand core marketing concepts (funnels, offers, creative briefs, QA, launches) well enough to anticipate what's needed next and remove roadblocks before they appear.

Role Description

Sunday Golf is seeking a full-time Marketing/Ops Project Manager (E-Commerce) to join our team on-site in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will oversee and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of team ops, marketing projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating between teams, managing project budgets, monitoring progress, and ensuring successful delivery of e-commerce marketing campaigns. You will also play a key role in fostering communication and alignment across team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Campaign & Task Management

  • Build/manage timelines for all campaigns, launches, and initiatives.
  • Assign and track tasks in Asana; map dependencies; keep deadlines on target.
  • Maintain visibility into all marketing initiatives (campaigns, product drops, creative needs).
  • Partner with Shopify dev/design to build and QA landing pages, promos, and site updates; verify accuracy, functionality, and creative alignment before publishing.
  • Assist in campaign strategy and execution; monitor progress and report updates to stakeholders.

Photoshoot Planning & Coordination

  • Align photoshoot schedules with marketing and product timelines.
  • Create shot lists and clear creative direction with the team.
  • Coordinate product samples; track arrivals and maintain the photoshoot pipeline sheet.
  • Prioritize shoot needs based on campaign deadlines and product importance.

Project Documentation & Marketing Calendar

  • Own the marketing calendar and all project docs in Asana.
  • Keep tracking sheets accurate (launch dates, timelines, changes).
  • Take notes in meetings; capture decisions/feedback and convert into actionable tasks.
  • Use AI tools as a supplement, but always confirm details and ensure accuracy.

Communication & Reporting

  • Lead effective standups and check-ins; maintain alignment in Slack and meetings.
  • Provide clear status updates; report achievements, blockers, and next steps.
  • Support post-launch recaps and identify optimization opportunities.

Process & Documentation (Marketing + Company Ops)

  • Maintain/enforce SOPs in Trainual; drive team adherence and updates.
  • Improve workflows (briefs, approvals, QA checklists, handoffs).
  • Track SLAs and hold teams accountable to deliverables.

Future Ops Expansion

  • Support company-wide ops: cross-department coordination, meeting rhythms, documentation hygiene, and policy/workflow compliance.

Systems You'll Use

  • Shopify, Asana, Slack, Trainual, Loom, Google Workspace

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 2+ years in project management for a DTC brand with direct Shopify exposure.
  • Working knowledge of DTC mechanics: campaigns, offers, calendars, briefs, QA, launch sequencing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and risk identification.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience maintaining SOPs in Trainual (or similar).
  • Comfort updating Shopify content and partnering with developers.
  • Experience in company operations (meeting cadences, documentation compliance, cross-team systems).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $65,000–$85,000 DOE
  • Bonus: Performance-based
