Location: Frederick, MD (hybrid in‑person role for local applicants only)
About Precision
Precision is a software company that helps entrepreneurs understand their numbers through proprietary scorecard software and world‑class onboarding and coaching services.
About the Role
We’re looking for a self‑driven videographer who builds momentum with a camera. The role isn’t for someone who waits for direction; it’s for someone who sees stories, captures moments, and delivers high‑quality content end‑to‑end. You will shoot, edit, and manage the media pipeline for the CEO and the entire content engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the media operation from capture to final delivery – shooting, editing, organizing, preparing assets, and maintaining momentum across all content initiatives.
Content Capture
- Film CEO content days, client visits, events, travel, conversations, and behind‑the‑scenes moments.
- Look for opportunities to capture high‑quality, intentional, story‑driven footage and b‑roll.
- Understand the story being told and capture footage that supports it.
- Prepare and manage all camera, lighting, audio, recording equipment, and software before each shoot.
- Ensure batteries charged, memory cleared, mics working, and backups exist.
- Maintain organized storage of footage, properly labeled and accessible.
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and proactively – no delays, surprises, or downtime.
- Edit short‑form and long‑form content with speed and strong storytelling instincts.
- Assemble b‑roll sequences, pull selects, create rough cuts, and complete simple edits internally.
- Prepare organized, labeled, ready‑to‑edit footage packages for the remote creative team.
- Use creative judgment to shape moments into compelling stories, not just clips.
Speed, Organization & Reliability
- Meet SLAs for delivering raw footage and completed edits.
- Maintain a clean, searchable media library where nothing is lost or delayed.
- Keep momentum: when content needs to move, you move.
- Operate with urgency and ownership – control the pace of the media operation.
Travel & Event Support
- Travel with the CEO for speaking events and offsite shoots.
- Capture in‑the‑moment footage and assemble quick‑turnaround assets after travel.
- Handle on‑site equipment, setup, lighting, audio, and coordination.
- Work closely with the CEO and remote creative team to align on story, goals, and weekly content priorities.
- Bring ideas to the table – shot lists, narratives, creative angles, new concepts.
- Act as a reliable partner who keeps production moving and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
Success Metrics
Within your first 30 days, you will:
- Produce usable content – edited clips, short‑form cuts, b‑roll sequences, vlogs, or rough cuts that showcase your storytelling instincts.
- Shoot consistently – daily or near‑daily footage captured with intention.
- Own the media pipeline – footage labeled, organized, delivered, and moving with no loss or delay.
- Demonstrate urgency and reliability – make things happen without bottlenecks or reminders.
- Integrate quickly with the CEO and remote creative team, showing you can prep the environment, set up equipment, and support content days without hand‑holding.
- Capture moments proactively – not just assignments, but the story we’re telling.
- Establish predictable SLAs for both raw footage and simple creative outputs.
- Show that your pace, standards, and instincts fit a high‑performance environment.
Ideal Candidate
You thrive in environments where speed, creativity, and accountability matter. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You’re the one people rely on because you show up prepared, move with intention, and care about the details.
You’re a fit if you are:
- A natural storyteller with a camera – you see moments, angles, narratives, and opportunities before anyone asks.
- A shooter and an editor – comfortable capturing footage and turning it into something meaningful.
- Process‑driven without being rigid – organized enough to keep chaos out of the pipeline, flexible when things change.
- Proactive to your core – anticipate needs, prep before anyone asks, and stay five steps ahead.
- Hungry to grow – master your craft, build something long‑term, and take pride in doing great work.
- Calm under pressure – fast‑moving situations don’t throw you; adapt, troubleshoot, and keep things moving.
- Self‑accountable – take ownership and don’t hide behind excuses or unclear direction.
- A momentum‑builder – presence increases pace, quality, and energy of the room.
