Farm Journal maps the present and future of farming, food, technology and sustainability through the lens of 23 brands committed to every major agriculture and food production segment. Our brands generate 20 million monthly interactions across digital, video, radio and print sources. Farmers, ranchers, growers, packers, shippers and the industries that support them rely on Farm Journal brands to profitably grow their businesses. Its exclusive research and data insights are so powerful that it earned Farm Journal recognition as one of the most innovative companies in the country, according to Fast Company business magazine.

Video storytelling is a point of pride at Farm Journal and the primary way we connect to America’s agricultural community. Our YouTube channel audience has tripled in the last year and in 2025 we launched two new streaming channels: the subscription service, Farm Journal TV, and the free ad-supported channel, Farm Journal NOW. We have two nationally syndicated news broadcasts, U.S. Farm Report and AgDay, and a nationally syndicated radio show/podcast, AgriTalk. We have a dozen podcasts with plans to launch more.

Farm Journal seeks an anchor/MMJ with a passion for agriculture to join the team. This candidate, who will be based in Kansas City, will be the primary anchor for AgDay, Farm Journal’s daily, nationally syndicated 30‑minute newscast covering both the business of agriculture and the rural lifestyle. In addition, this candidate will be expected to regularly report from the field and contribute to other programs, such as AgriTalk and U.S. Farm Report. This position will deliver regular coverage of the “next generation of agriculture,” including but not limited to spotlighting new technologies, succession planning, solving current challenges in the industry, and capturing voices of rising leaders influencing the future of agriculture.

A reel with relevant on‑air and video work examples is required in the application. Applicants will not be considered without a reel.

Are you passionate about agriculture? Do you enjoy the opportunities that YouTube, social media and other video platforms give visual storytellers to connect with their audience? Do you measure your success in the impact you have on the people you serve? Do you have the journalism and broadcast skills to anchor one of America’s leading agriculture newscasts? If you answered yes to any of those questions, consider applying for this job.

This position also provides the opportunity to join a mission‑ and purpose‑driven company with a great culture. Journalists at Farm Journal are not measured by how many “clicks” or views we get. Instead, the focus is on how well we support the specific audiences we serve and have an impact in their professional lives.
