About the Role
Jon Michael Design, a subsidiary of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a Senior Visualization Designer to join our award‑winning creative studio in NY and bring world‑class packaging and product concepts to life through high‑end 3D visualization, CGI animation, and photorealistic rendering.
Your Opportunity
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Creative Director and President to visualize premium beauty, fragrance, skincare, and spirits designs with exceptional artistry and precision. You will lead visualization efforts from concept to final execution—creating dynamic, lifelike imagery and motion that communicate design intent and innovation for client presentations, advertising, and merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Create stunning, photorealistic renderings and CGI animations that elevate Jon Michael Design’s creative output.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director, Industrial Design, and Packaging teams to translate creative concepts into visually accurate, compelling visualizations.
- Lead the visualization process from concept through final render, ensuring fidelity to design intent, brand standards, and production timelines.
- Apply expert knowledge of lighting, texturing, and material simulation to achieve premium‑quality results across glass, metal, plastic, and other complex surfaces.
- Integrate CGI with live‑action footage and create motion graphics or animated sequences for presentations and marketing content.
- Leverage and experiment with AI‑assisted tools and emerging visualization technologies to enhance creativity, efficiency, and ideation.
- Anticipate and resolve visualization challenges with innovative, cost‑effective solutions that improve quality and workflow.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with project managers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in rendering, animation, and digital storytelling, bringing fresh techniques and inspiration to the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, CGI, Animation, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a creative studio, agency, or visualization environment—preferably within beauty, fashion, spirits, or CPG.
- Expert‑level understanding of 3D rendering workflows, including lighting, texturing, and compositing.
- Demonstrated ability to create premium‑quality digital imagery for advertising, merchandising, and product visualization.
- Knowledge of AI‑based and emerging visualization technologies for enhanced creative development.
- A portfolio showcasing excellence in photorealistic rendering, animation, and motion design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven expertise in CGI visualization, animation, and rendering for packaging and product design.
- Deep understanding of materials, lighting, and composition to achieve photorealistic imagery.
- Advanced proficiency in Cinema 4D, Blender, 3D Max, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong artistic sensibility combined with exceptional technical precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to produce motion graphics or 3D animation for storytelling and marketing applications.
- Highly organized with excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Confident communicator and presenter with a collaborative, solutions‑driven approach.
- Familiarity with AI visualization and ideation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway) a plus.
- Deep appreciation for beauty, luxury, and material craft in design visualization.
Compensation
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $80 k – $90 k. The actual base salary offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, or other factors and location.
