Your Role

This role is crucial in the successful design and implementation of signage and environmental graphic programs. You must be detail oriented and organized and have relevant experience, including documentation, fabrication and installation expertise.

What You Will Do

  • Create and oversee design, design intent / bid documents for interior and exterior signage and environmental graphic programs
  • Create and oversee the creation of sign and environmental graphic location plans and message schedules
  • Create and oversee design of bespoke 3D environmental installations
  • Assist the Technical Director in reviewing and advising on applicable code, zoning, lease exhibits and other criteria, as provided by others
  • Assist the Technical Director in reviewing and advising on materiality, fabrication, installation, etc., throughout the project durationPull / create elevations from Revit models / Rhino
  • Deliver workplace and code signage programs
  • When required, assist project team in walking client through design presentations, site surveys, design intent documents, shop drawings, samples and other submittals
  • Work with the Technical Director to ensure all projects relevant code requirements
  • Educate designers on fabrication methods
  • Oversee the creation and modification of checklists and best practices

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related field
  • 5 years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience
  • Proficiency in the latest design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) and CAD tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, and Revit
  • Experience in creating sign location plans using Revit
  • Interior and exterior sign and environmental graphic program implementation, including programming, message schedules, documentation and installation
  • This is not a remote position. The successful candidate will be expected to live in, or relocate to, the New York Metropolitan area upon acceptance
  • The base salary will be estimated between $85,000 – $95,000 plus bonuses and benefits, and contingent on relevant experience
