Job Description
This position supports and enhances existing web applications within the Enterprise section. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for maintaining and modernizing web‑based applications, focusing on both legacy and contemporary .NET platforms.
Required Technical Skills
- C# and ASP.NET (MVC 5 & Core 8) – Experience building and maintaining web applications on both legacy (.NET Framework) and modern (.NET Core) platforms.
- .NET Core 6/7/8 – Hands‑on experience developing RESTful APIs and web applications, including dependency injection, middleware, and minimal APIs.
- VB.NET – Ability to understand, debug, and enhance legacy codebase.
- .NET Framework 4.8 – Deep understanding of the .NET runtime, libraries, and configuration.
- Kendo UI (jQuery + MVC Wrappers) – Experience creating rich UI components and interactions using Kendo UI widgets.
- JavaScript & jQuery – Strong proficiency in front‑end scripting, DOM manipulation, AJAX, and event‑driven UI design.
- SQL Server – Writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Oracle & DB2 – Working knowledge of multiple RDBMS systems for data integration, migration, and cross‑platform queries.
Well‑Qualified Candidates Will Also Have Experience With
- Web API (RESTful Service) – Building and consuming web services with security and versioning.
- Entity Framework / Dapper / ADO.NET – ORM tools and raw data access strategies.
- Front‑End Integration – HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser compatibility.
- Unit Testing – Writing and maintaining unit tests for both front‑end and back‑end code.
- Version Control – Experience with Git.
- Fine‑grain Authorization – Designing and implementing RBAC, ABAC, or similar security models.
- Security Compliance – Applying standards and regulations related to data access and authorization.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Collaborate with the team on front‑end and server‑side development of web applications.
- Perform requirements analysis, design, and development of new features.
- Write clean, maintainable code and adhere to coding standards.
- Participate actively in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Provide production support and address production issues promptly.
- Work independently, seeking help when necessary, and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in C# and ASP.NET development.
- 8+ years with .NET Core 6/7/8.
- 10+ years debugging legacy VB.NET code.
- 10+ years understanding .NET Framework.
- 8+ years with KendoUI development.
- 10+ years in front‑end scripting (JavaScript, jQuery).
- 10+ years in complex SQL query design and performance tuning.
- 10+ years working with Oracle and DB2.
- 10+ years building and consuming web services.
- 8+ years with ORM tools (Entity Framework, Dapper, ADO.NET).
- 8+ years of front‑end integration using HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.
- 10+ years writing and maintaining unit tests.
- 10+ years documenting technical solutions and requirements analysis.
- 8+ years experience with authentication and authorization techniques (e.g., Okta).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 10+ years across the full SDLC and project management principles.
- 8+ years using Git and Jira.
- 8+ years designing, implementing, and complying with security and data access standards.
