Position Summary Assist with daily media relations and communications duties related to UGA’s 21‑sport varsity athletic program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign is beneficial. Basic sports‑writing skills and social‑media capability are also required. Grady College or Sport Management majors preferred. Students will be assigned certain sports to assist with Game Day operations. A flexible schedule and ability to work nights and weekends are required. Additional duties include office/clerical operations such as answering phone calls, scanning documents, special projects, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

Support daily media relations and communications for UGA athletics.

Assist with Game Day operations for assigned sports.

Produce content for social media, press releases, and internal communications.

Maintain files, phone lines, and office documentation.

Participate in special projects and assignments as directed.

Qualifications

Current enrollment as a student at the University of Georgia.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Experience in sports writing or related content creation preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Physical Demands Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel; and reach with hands and arms. Will occasionally sit and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during athletic competitions.
