Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand activation, or integrated marketing campaigns.

Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Experience with experiential marketing and live event production, particularly on college campuses, or to a student audience.

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of Google’s AI product suite and their relevance to students and educators.

Ability to develop in fast-paced environments where flexibility, collaboration, and teamwork are keys to success.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to travel as needed.

As a Student Activations Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of this effort. You are a creative and strategic marketer who excels at translating complex product narratives into compelling, in‑person or virtual activations. You understand the campus ecosystem and know how to reach and engage with the student audience in scaled ways, creating marketing surround sound that will excite them about our activations and products. You are an excellence of execution with impeccable creative judgment, manage complex projects, lead agency partners, and mobilize resources to bring ambitious ideas to life.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $114,000–$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Synthesize student insights and trends, and write inspirational marketing briefs that can be translated into innovative and culturally relevant on‑campus activation ideas to promote Google’s AI products.

Drive agency‑facing communications, acting as the primary point of contact with creative and production partners to ensure flawless execution, including event project management, creative development, budget and timeline management, measurement, and logistics coordination.

Coordinate internal communications with cross‑product area teams to consult active activation, branding, and messaging during execution.

Own scaled communications (e.g., social, email, on‑campus media) and build surround sound to drive student excitement for our activations.

Manage any on‑the‑ground resourcing for activations, including the recruitment, training, and coordination of student brand ambassadors and volunteers.
