Saragossa, Dallas, Texas, United States, 75215
Principal Consultant at Saragossa - Creating a competitive advantage for investment technology organizations
Chief Data Center Engineer | Dallas, TX
I am partnered with Global Asset Manager, who have just released a Digital Infrastructure fund and are ready to build a First of its kind Data Center.
A well‑funded infrastructure company is building hyperscale HPC centers purpose‑built for AI/ML workloads – the kind of mission‑critical facilities that power breakthroughs in research, simulation, and production at scale.
We're hiring a Chief Data Center Engineer to own the full lifecycle – from design and construction through commissioning, operations, and continuous optimization. This is a role for leaders who have delivered complex data center programs on aggressive timelines and want to build infrastructure that defines what’s possible in high‑performance computing.
Base pay range $555,000.00/yr - $750,000.00/yr
The Role
Define the development roadmap and deliver on schedule‑driven timelines for HPC center deployment.
Lead multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and operators through design‑build execution.
Drive engineering baselines, change management, and KPI frameworks that improve outcomes with each iteration.
Optimize systems for high‑density compute, liquid/air cooling, and energy efficiency at hyperscale.
Interface directly with EPCM contractors, OEM vendors, and internal stakeholders to remove friction and maintain momentum.
Build the operating model and establish rigorous QA/QC, safety, and compliance standards.
What you need
10+ years leading mission‑critical data center development or operations in a senior capacity.
Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects on tight schedules.
Deep technical expertise in HPC environments, power/cooling systems, and facility optimization.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
Decisive leadership style with strong instincts and executive communication skills.
Bonus
Understanding of AI/ML workloads and how they translate to compute infrastructure requirements.
Ever wanted to build the infrastructure behind the next generation of AI? This is it — contact me today for a casual conversation, resume not necessary.
Seniority Level: Executive
Employment Type: Full‑time
Job Function: Construction and Engineering Services
