Job Description The firm is currently seeking a research associate to support our Cloud & Communications team covering Digital Infrastructure; Satellite and Communications. The position is located in New York City.

The research associate will work in conjunction with and support the lead analyst and another research associate on the team on all aspects of developing and marketing equity research products, including research reports, models, and industry analysis.

The position demands independence, initiative, and entrepreneurship, as the associate will gain responsibility over a broad array of report writing, model building, and other product maintenance duties. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to multi‑task and excellent communication skills are critical. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, an understanding of how technology and artificial intelligence operate, and a passion to uncover details to aid in the creation of research. Our ideal candidate is fully FINRA registered (SIE, Series 7, 63, 86, 87) and possesses 1-2 years of equity research or accounting experience with an interest in technology, though we will consider all qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Write and produce equity research reports, company initiations, and marketing presentations under tight time constraints.

Build and maintain integrated income statement (I/S), balance sheet (B/S), and cash flow (C/F) models and organize industry data.

Interact with internal sales and trading and external clients; demonstrate strong sales and communication skills.

Work independently and initiate and accomplish projects with minimal supervision.

Organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Maintain strong Excel skills; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and FactSet.

Key Qualifications

Strong writing and analytical skills.

Strong financial modeling, accounting, valuation, and quantitative skills.

Passion for and exposure to the financial markets and equity research.

Strong sales and communication skills, with professionalism and responsiveness.

Ability to work independently, be an aggressive self‑starter with a strong work ethic.

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and FactSet.

Compensation For job postings in New York State, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
