The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and delivering strategies and tactics across Michigan Humane’s digital communication outlets (website, email program, paid digital media) in support of the organization’s mission and its marketing communication goals.
Responsibilities
Leverage email marketing tools to develop transactional, promotional, and information content strategies.
Oversee the paid digital media activity for Michigan Humane, from social media to search outlets; serve as the main contact for MichiganHumane.org, Google and Bing business profiles.
Serve as the day‑to‑day lead for MichiganHumane.org, updating content, providing maintenance, overseeing the online retail presence, and troubleshooting needs as they arise.
Participate in collaborative, multi‑disciplinary efforts to develop an ongoing growth plan for email subscriber lists.
Use metrics to collect data to measure the effectiveness of strategies, content, and campaigns to provide quarterly analysis reports.
Help drive strategy to maintain an integrated website presence, including internal communication tools, which includes a positive user experience and an optimized search strategy.
Develop and implement a process for regular content updates to engage internal stakeholders and achieve organizational goals.
Track, measure, and analyze website traffic and usage.
Collaborate to deliver integrated email marketing campaigns to support annual fundraising and organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, marketing, advertising, communications, or journalism.
3–5 years of experience managing an organization’s website, email deployment, and paid digital search campaigns.
Proficient in WordPress, Canva, email marketing tools (Engaging Networks preferred) and tactics, Microsoft SharePoint, and Google Analytics and Ad Manager.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Prioritize tasks, take initiative, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with Google for Nonprofits preferred.
