Responsibilities

Manage or provide communications support for a variety of projects, initiatives, and campaigns within the department.

Manage, develop and implement multiple internal communications campaigns and projects simultaneously and measure success through defined metrics’ results.

Drive the development of communications that influence behaviors, support change management, and help leverage employees as brand advocates internally and externally.

Serve as a liaison and communications consultant to teams and stakeholders across the company to conceptualize communications, define project requirements, implement timeframes, establish messaging, manage production, and measure effectiveness through a variety of tools and tactics.

Maintain content and follow the audit process to ensure all published content is accurate, updated, and published to appropriate audiences.

Works with technical resources to ensure digital platforms are reliable and secure.

Manage crisis communications and employer of choice public relations, recruitment marketing campaigns, and social media, as assigned.

Project manages creative development, production, and budgets.

Provide professional-level writing, editing, and content development with vivid storytelling for a variety of platforms. Ability to effectively engage with and present to senior leadership with confidence and clarity

Plan, implement, and oversee logistics for internal events such as employee celebrations, leadership meetings, and teambuilding events.

Collect and analyze data to support business initiatives through a variety of sources and methodologies.

Will develop and implement editorial calendars and publish various content to digital channels, including Estes’ intranet, digital displays and social platforms.

Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or English, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background required

3 years of previous corporate communications experience developing and executing communications and/or employee engagement strategies, with at least 2 of those years in the transportation industry required

Must be an excellent writer with the ability to produce well-researched pieces with short deadlines. Writing samples required

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise and creative way to internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated success working with executives and a proven track record in executive communications preferred.

Expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel required

Working knowledge of standard design and development tools, including Final Cut and Adobe Creative Suite tools preferred

Fluency in multi-media platforms such as video production, digital communications and web required

Knowledge and prior use of an intranet or SharePoint, including web, intranet, social, and mobile technologies highly preferred

High critical-thinking skills and ability to position messaging with appropriate methods to engage a variety of audiences required

Strong organization and time management skills and ability to manage a high of detailed work in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical ability and demonstrated experience using data to develop strategies

Ability to network and communicate with all levels throughout Estes. Strong public speaking and event planning expertise highly preferred

Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

Must be able to interact well with others

Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting

Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities

Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
