About the Organization The Áo Dài Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Vietnamese culture, with a special focus on the elegance and heritage of the Áo Dài—Vietnam’s traditional dress. Our 8th festival (ADF8) will be held in May 2026 in San Jose, CA and will feature performances, fashion showcases, community vendors, and more.

Role Overview We are seeking a Volunteer Web Designer with experience using Wix or a similar platform to help us refresh, maintain, and update the Áo Dài Festival website. This role is ideal for someone creative and detail-oriented who is passionate about user experience, storytelling, and community-focused design.

Your work will ensure our site communicates our mission, promotes upcoming events, supports ticket and sponsor engagement, and reflects the visual elegance of the festival brand.

Key Responsibilities

Redesign and maintain pages on www.aodaifestival.net Wix (or similar drag-and-drop CMS)

Ensure the website is mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, and visually aligned with ADF8 branding

Create and update pages for ticket sales, sponsorship info, event schedule, featured designers, and media galleries

Support backend updates and site performance optimization (e.g., SEO basics, link checks)

Collaborate with the marketing, design, and program teams to ensure timely updates and campaign alignment

Ensure accessibility and responsive design best practices are followed

Qualifications

Experience designing and managing websites using Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or similar platforms

Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and mobile responsiveness

Basic knowledge of SEO and web content best practices

Strong design eye and attention to detail

Ability to manage feedback and prioritize updates based on event needs

Familiarity with Vietnamese culture or festivals is a plus, but not required

Commitment of ~2–4 hours/week, with flexibility during peak event periods
