Who You Are As a Senior Business Technology Consultant you will serve as a subject‑matter expert, advising executive leadership on emerging technology trends, shaping technology strategy, and driving business transformation. Your analytical, technical, and consulting aptitude will be critical in delivering insights, building deliverables, and leading project workstreams.
Role and Responsibilities
Meet business development targets
Program and manage technical or functional telecom projects in an Agile environment, from inception through testing and release
Define and track project milestones, develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, and report on progress
Direct complex projects involving multiple internal and external constituents and solution partners through all phases of the SDLC
Rigorously manage scope to achieve commitments within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters
Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members
Deliver senior advisory services to senior management, supporting technology‑enabled business change (e.g., vendor selection, solution architecture studies, program diagnostics)
Provide key decision support, monitor issues and risks, and create mitigation plans for clients
Lead organizational changes and business process improvements with clients
Decompose key business problems, identify value areas, and implement complex technology solutions
Create innovative offerings that align with market demand and technology evolution
Engage with client staff to understand current operations and identify improvement opportunities
Support development of improved capabilities across business processes, people, and technology
Develop business cases and implement roadmaps to support investment decisions
Identify and qualify additional business opportunities
Prepare solutions and proposals, and present them to clients
Contribute to productizing Excelacom’s work, Center of Excellence initiatives, and proposal development
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of consulting experience, ideally at a leading strategy firm, Big 4 consulting practice, or consulting arm of a major technology company with expertise in enterprise architecture and business solutions deployment
Experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable, with industry knowledge
Proven success in generating new business with existing clients
Highly collaborative, team‑oriented, with strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead project workgroups and strong facilitation and data‑gathering skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills effective at all organizational levels
Good time‑management skills
Willingness to travel
