Overview As a Senior Copywriter for Gallagher, you’ll be at the forefront of helping represent our brand. We’re looking for someone who is an outstanding writer, as well as proficient at developing tone of voice, creative strategy, and collaborating. As a successful candidate, you’ll have mastered the art of writing in multiple styles for various channels. Your ideas are creative, strategic, and always on brand. Under the direction of a creative director, and in collaboration with designers and marketers, the Senior Copywriter will help develop conceptual ideas and voice and tone, bringing it to life with language that speaks to your target audience. Our copywriters are expected to regularly relay their creative rationale for their creative work and present their work as part of the creative team.
How you’ll make an impact
Collaborate creatively with marketing and creative team in developing content strategy, creative concepts, and ideas behind the work.
Develop promotional or short‑form copy in multiple styles for various channels based on provided outline or source content including headlines, promotional copy, scripts, web and social media copy.
Develop voice and tone for materials specific to target audience and aligned to Gallagher brand.
Understand user experience and concepts of usability, always putting the user/customer at the center of their thinking.
Work with Project Managers to ensure work is delivered on deadline and to the clients and firm standards.
Managing multiple projects and maintaining workflow amid often tight, changing deadlines.
May provide guidance to lower‑level staff, but has no formal supervisory responsibility.
About You Required:
Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 5 years Copywriting experience.
Proficiency in presenting and talking through creative work.
Knowledge of digital, non‑digital and integrated media, with ability to edit content for the web and a willingness to learn how to help manage digital content.
Highly Preferred:
Insurance / financial industry or benefits consulting experience a plus.
Knowledge of digital content and SEO strategy with ability to edit content for the web is a plus.
Knowledge of graphic arts is a plus.
Behaviors:
Must have exceptional written and oral skills and be able to interface with all levels of management.
Outstanding organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain workflow amid often tight, changing deadlines.

Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
