KUTV/KMYU/KJZZ in Salt Lake City has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Sports Multimedia Journalist.
KUTV is a CBS Television affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Inc., part of one of the largest and most diversified broadcasting companies in the U.S.
We produce nightly sports shows, team‑related sports shows, and originate multiple live sports broadcasts.
This job requires the ability to work at a fast pace with tight deadlines, balancing several projects at once. Day‑to‑day tasks include multimedia content creation, scriptwriting, and maintaining a strong social media presence to engage the audience. The role involves collaborating with the news team to ensure comprehensive sports coverage and may require working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
Skills And Experience
Extensive digital experience.
A self‑starter who can generate his or her own story ideas daily.
Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling.
Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and generate original story ideas.
Proficiency in multimedia content creation.
Excellent on‑air presence and delivery.
Knowledge of social media and digital content strategy.
Requirements And Qualifications
Previous reporting, producing and editing experience is required.
At least two years of on‑air experience.
Live reporting experience is required.
Previous experience working in a team environment is a must.
Ability to shoot stories, highlights and interviews as needed.
