Educational and Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital or commercial arts, photography, mass communication, journalism, advertising, marketing, or related field. Two years of relevant experience. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose Of Position Creates and manages graphic design projects across platforms and channels (email, webpages, social media, etc.) to meet enrollment marketing and communications goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Designs and produces high quality visual materials for a variety of audiences across various platforms.
Collaborates with the Director of Enrollment Marketing & Communications (EMC) and other departmental staff, as well as campus partners, to ensure graphics included in messaging sent to students and prospective students from Enrollment departments is in alignment with the university’s brand and tone as well as institutional priorities and enrollment strategies and goals.
Creates, reviews, and revises graphics created for Admissions and Enrollment communications (e.g., emails, text messages, social media posts, webpages, newsletters, memos, presentations) to ensure design aesthetics, clarity, and consistency.
Works with EMC team and external vendors to collect and analyze feedback on digital graphics/advertising effectiveness and make improvements to graphics and content strategies as needed.
Develops graphics for marketing campaigns, communication campaigns, reports, webpages, and presentations.
Assists Enrollment Marketing & Communications teams with various marketing, communications, or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tasks as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications Requires strong working knowledge of current graphic design practices and procedures and the ability to develop creative solutions for multiple channels and formats. Proficient in current design software, including the Adobe suite, and industry standards for both print and online platforms. Working knowledge of print production process including pre-press setup.
