Job Summary FOX 12 Oregon is looking for a Streaming News Producer to help drive our live digital news coverage. This role is ideal for a creative, detail‑oriented producer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and the challenge of bringing breaking news to audiences in real time. You’ll manage live segments from conception through execution and shape rundowns, coordinating guests and guiding on‑air hosts through dynamic, evolving coverage.

Duties/Responsibilities

Produce and oversee live streaming news segments from start to finish.

Write and structure compelling rundowns, teases, and live elements for digital platforms.

Coordinate closely with anchors, reporters, and assignment desk editors to deliver smooth live productions.

Monitor breaking news and adjust coverage plans in real time.

Book and prep guests, maintaining strong relationships with PR professionals and industry contacts.

Communicate clearly with the streaming host during live streams to convey updates and timing.

Manage multiple schedules, calendars, and communication threads simultaneously.

Collaborate with editorial teams to align streaming coverage with linear and digital news priorities.

Ensure content meets editorial standards for accuracy, tone, and fairness.

Qualifications/Requirements

At least two years of experience producing a live television newscast or streaming content.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and pivot quickly for breaking news.

Strong communication skills for guiding hosts and coordinating with guests, reporters, and PR contacts.

Excellent organizational and scheduling skills; comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

Familiarity with newsroom systems such as ENPS preferred.

Experience with Adobe Premiere or live broadcasting software (e.g., vMix, OBS, TriCaster) a plus.

Deep understanding of news values and audience engagement on digital platforms.

Experience writing for on‑air or news.

Knowledge of social media livestream integration and analytics.

A passion for innovation in the evolving digital news landscape.

Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or related field preferred.
