About the Role We are seeking a talented
Color & Materials Designer
to join our Studio Design team. This position focuses on creating, coordinating, and recommending annual interior and exterior color and trim programs for our vehicles. The role is
short-term (12–18 weeks)
to cover a leave and offers a
hybrid schedule (4 days/week, Mon–Thu) .
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) solutions for vehicle interiors and exteriors.
Ideate and create CMF concepts that reflect brand identity, advanced functionality, and innovative user experience.
Ensure seamless integration of CMF into overall vehicle design, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout all design stages.
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to translate designs into physical and digital samples for validation.
Analyze future consumer trends to inform CMF narratives and cutting‑edge design strategies.
Prepare compelling digital and physical CMF presentations that clearly communicate design intent.
Support program timing and deliverables to meet project targets.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Color & Material Design, or related discipline
Minimum 4 years of color and materials experience (trend forecasting, fashion, or interior design considered relevant).
3D modeling software: SketchUp (Rhino preferred but not required).
Visualization tools: VRED preferred.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
Strong understanding of color theory (hue, value, chroma).
Knowledge of CMF design process and 3D prototyping.
Excellent communication and narrative development skills.
Contract Duration: 12–18 weeks
