Assistant Technical Designer, Women's — Hybrid, Seattle
This position is located at Nordstrom’s downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week. As an Assistant Technical Designer at Nordstrom, you will assist the Technical Design team in creating Nordstrom Brand products within your assigned categories, ensuring the product meets design and fit intent and aligns with the Brand DNA. Everything we do revolves around creating products that make our customers feel good and look their best. Responsibilities
Assist Technical Design Team to develop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with design intent and Brand DNA. Assist in evaluating samples to ensure product specifications, quality, and construction standards are executed. Measure samples. Support Technical Design Team and participate in fit sessions as needed. Support Technical Design Team to meet calendar milestones and due dates. Support internal teams to maintain sample organization throughout development and production lifecycle. Assist in special projects as directed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making or related field, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 1 year experience in Technical Design or related field. Organization and time‑management skills. Clear, effective written and verbal communication. Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively. Benefits
