Job Description HR Marketing and Engagement Specialist
Job Code: HR2030
This role supports recruitment and retention through creative storytelling, strategic content, and authentic engagement across digital and physical platforms. The role manages HR recruitment social media presence, supports UVA Community Health internal HR related communication campaigns, and helps position UVA Community Health as an employer of choice within the region. The position has flexibility to be hybrid, but requires regular travel within the UVA Community Health service area.
Key Responsibilities Recruitment Marketing
Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns to attract top talent across clinical and non‑clinical roles.
Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to ensure job postings and recruitment materials reflect UVA Community Health’s mission, values, and brand identity.
Produce social media content, videos, and graphics that highlight the employee experience, culture, and career growth opportunities.
Retention and Employee Engagement
Collaborate with Executive leadership to design internal campaigns that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and belonging.
Support storytelling and internal communications for initiatives such as Healthcare Week, Rewards and Recognition, leadership & team member spotlights, and employee engagement.
Gather and share success stories that promote pride and connection among team members.
Collaborate with departments across UVA Community Health to highlight and unify initiatives that foster a vibrant workplace culture. Actively promote and showcase internal events, milestones, and community involvement efforts that reinforce team member belonging, organizational pride, and cultural connection.

Partner closely with internal departments and cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent, unified messaging that celebrates the people and culture of UVA Community Health.
Social Media and Digital Presence
Manage and grow UVA Community Health’s HR‑related social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), ensuring brand alignment and consistent posting cadence.
Track analytics to assess engagement, reach, and impact on recruitment and retention metrics.
Respond to social media inquiries and engage with community audiences in a professional, brand‑positioned manner.
Community and Brand Engagement
Partner with community organizations, schools, and career programs to highlight UVA Community Health as a regional employer of choice.
Support social media efforts for Workforce Pipeline and the Community Engagement team when needed.
Content Development
Create compelling written and visual content for UVACH intranet initiatives and HR communications.
Produce high‑impact video materials for internal and external use.

Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
3+ years of experience in marketing, social media management, or communications; experience in healthcare or human resources preferred.

Licensure
Oracle certifications not required, but welcomed.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required
Demonstrated ability to write engaging, mission‑driven content across platforms.
Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools.
Strong project management, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Deep understanding of how storytelling and digital engagement drive workforce culture and community connection.
