Job Title and Summary Reeve & Associates is looking for a Senior Civil Designer interested in joining a fast-growing, family-led engineering firm. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, able to anticipate design needs, and resolve issues efficiently. This full‑time position will work closely with the civil engineering team to prepare CAD drawings for drainage, transportation, traffic, land, and site development projects. This position requires the candidate to work in office.
Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed civil design drawings, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway design, and plan/profile sheets.
Develop 3D surface models, alignments, corridors, grading plans, and earthwork calculations.
Interpret engineering reports, surveys, field data, and geotechnical information to inform design.
Maintain drawing accuracy through version control, redline updates, quality checks, and compliance with project standards.
Collaborate with engineers to refine design concepts, resolve issues, and deliver coordinated plan sets.
Prepare and update civil CAD standards, templates, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal design codes and agency requirements.
Support project scheduling, workload planning, and task tracking.
Mentor and support junior designers and drafters.
Qualifications and Skills
10+ years drafting experience or accredited CAD certification.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and its working standards.
Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D.
Ability to lead and design projects.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, surveys, and technical documents.
Willingness to learn and grow.
Works efficiently independently as well as collectively with others.
Has a positive and professional attitude.
