Summary The Department of Marketing in the School of Business has nine full-time faculty who are active researchers and/or engaged teachers.
The faculty publish in leading journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Research, and others.
The department offers an undergraduate major in Marketing with concentrations in marketing communication and analytics, product and brand management, and general marketing.
It also offers minors in marketing insights and sales.
At the graduate level, it offers a Master of Science concentration in Marketing Management and a Master of Decision Analytics concentration in Marketing Analytics.
Marketing faculty teach in the MBA, Executive MBA, online MBA, and Ph.D. programs.
The department houses RVA Views, the Center for International Business Advancement, and the VCU Center for Professional Selling—research centers that support faculty teaching and research goals.
Duties & Responsibilities The candidate will establish a research agenda and demonstrate a record or potential for high-quality scholarly research in marketing.
They will conduct research with publication in high-caliber peer‑reviewed journals; teach engaging courses in marketing management, strategy, or marketing analytics topics; advise students; and provide service to the department, school, university, and academic community.
The candidate will also foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility among faculty, staff, and students.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a Ph.D. in Marketing, Business Administration with a concentration or focus in Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
Four months of postsecondary teaching experience in marketing research or marketing analytics.
