Our Enterprise Product organization is seeking a UX Researcher to join our team. The UX team supports product design for dozens of enterprise applications across internal business units, including content supply chain, finance, data, AI and SaaS tools.

The UX Researcher will partner with product owners and stakeholders to define and capture actionable UX requirements for product designers. They will also work closely with designers to execute on strategy and present solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to accelerate through ambiguity and is comfortable creating and working from assumptions when requirements are fluid. This non‑traditional research role focuses on enterprise applications and does not include consumer‑facing apps.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate discovery with stakeholders to define actionable UX requirements for product designers.

Produce clear, concise documentation (UX requirements, user flows, site maps, personas, slides, etc.) to inform interaction design process.

Conduct competitive and comparative UX research across a wide range of topics; present insights tied directly to actionable steps to influence experience design strategy.

Conduct UX and accessibility audits and present findings to ensure user‑friendliness and adoption.

Actively participate in design critiques, giving and receiving feedback and providing quality control across all supported products.

Analytical thinking: Ability to understand data and research, derive meaningful insights, and interpret them for a non‑technical audience.

Effective communication: Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with team members.

Attention to detail: Keen eye for accuracy in research and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in UX Research or equivalent field.

5+ years of professional UX research experience with a proven track record of generating actionable insights that resulted in measurable product improvements.

3+ years of professional experience with internal enterprise applications (preferred).

Experience with a broad range of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, across the various stages of product development (pre and post product launch).

Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, driving alignment around business needs and design strategies.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, interpersonal) and ability to present effectively to executive audiences.

Working knowledge of FigJam; basic knowledge of Figma.

Familiarity with design systems, especially Material Design (a big plus). Basic knowledge of accessibility (a plus).

A portfolio of case studies, including research projects and writing samples (please include link in application).

Remote Workers:

This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non‑NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

This position is eligible for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $120,000 – $160,000.
