Position: Architectural Designer (3-5 Years) – Commercial & Hospitality Focus at Archinect. Full‑time, located in Nashville, TN.
Overview Pfeffer Torode Architecture, an award‑winning architecture and design firm with offices in Nashville, Tennessee and Birmingham & Montgomery, Alabama, seeks an experienced architectural designer for our commercial team. The role involves production‑level design and project management responsibilities across all phases of design, with a focus on commercial and hospitality projects.
Responsibilities
Participate in all aspects of the design process, from concept development to detailed construction documents.
Produce production‑level drawings and design proposals for commercial and hospitality projects.
Collaborate with the design team, trade partners, and clients to communicate design intent.
Support project managers and work on project‑manager‑in‑training tasks.
Maintain knowledge of construction methods and applicable local codes.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (BArch or above).
3-5 years of professional architectural experience.
Strong conceptual and spatial design abilities demonstrated in portfolio/portfolio submission.
Working knowledge of construction processes and local building codes.
Experience and willingness to produce detailed and high‑level construction documents.
Effective written and graphic communication skills.
High degree of self‑motivation, resourcefulness, and collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in industry‑standard software: Revit, SketchUp or Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits Full‑time position; salary commensurate with experience and skill level.
