About the Position Arts Midwest believes that creativity is one of the Midwest’s greatest strengths, and we’re passionate about sharing it with the world. We’re looking for a dynamic Social Media and Marketing Manager to shape how our storytelling, short‑form videos, opportunities, and resources show up across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, email, and whatever comes next. As part of our Content & Communications team, you’ll manage Arts Midwest’s daily digital presence—distributing original articles and videos, creating social‑native content that champions the creative Midwest, and helping our content reach new audiences. You’ll also support marketing across our portfolio of grants and programs, connecting artists and arts organizations to information and funding.
About You You love the Midwest and are tuned into the art and creativity that make this region so unique. You bring a mix of creative skills and curiosity, finding energy in trying new things and learning new tools. You would thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, fully remote workplace with a four‑day work week. You have at least three to five years of relevant marketing experience, including managing successful social media channels for a brand or organization. You’re comfortable stepping in front of the camera when the story calls for it. Because the digital landscape is always evolving, you’re driven to experiment, thinking about how content can be best shaped and shared to reach new audiences, and using analytics to understand what works. And, you’re able to jump from social media to marketing strategies, helping to shape impactful campaigns around awards, grants, and other initiatives.
