Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Providing expert technical support for 3M’s flexographic mounting tapes & repulpable splicing tapes
Leads product trials at customer sites
Collaborates with sales team to win new business and defend at‑risk business
Supports new product introductions
Trains customers on proper use of 3M Paper & Print products.
Troubleshoots and manages analysis in instances of customer complaints
Prepared and available for travel to customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
AND
Five (5) years of experience in the Paper & Printing industry
OR
Five (5) years of customer-facing Application Engineering experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) FIRST Level 1-3 Certifications
SAPPI safety training in coated graphic, packaging, and specialty papers production
Adhesive science expertise
Training content development & delivery experience
Work Location On-site 4 days/week
Maplewood, MN
Travel May include up to 40% US/Canada travel
Relocation Assistance May be authorized

Compensation Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
