Location: Kennesaw, Georgia

Job Summary Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open‑rank, part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in the Joel A. Katz Music & Entertainment Business Program in the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. Positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of music and entertainment business, based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses: a minimum of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Music/Entertainment or a closely related discipline; OR a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Music/Entertainment or a closely related discipline AND at least 7 years of professional experience; OR a minimum of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.

To teach graduate courses: a Terminal/Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) in Music/Entertainment or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the music & entertainment business, including financial and legal aspects, contract negotiation, management, marketing strategies, trends, and technological advancements, leveraging social media and other digital platforms.

Experience in audio/video production.
