Senior Director, Design
– Austin, Texas
Base Pay Range
$255,840 – $351,780. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation and Equity Compensation.
Job Overview Procore is looking for a Senior Director, Design to transform the construction industry by inspiring future‑facing solutions that simplify complex business processes and drive richer collaboration across stakeholders on a construction project. In this role, you will lead a talented UX design team, partner with Product, Engineering, and UX leaders, and champion quality design as a bold voice across the organization. You will report to the VP of Product Design and work directly from Austin, Texas. Join us immediately to help put Procore at the center of construction.
Responsibilities
Work with key leaders to develop priority business objectives and key results.
Inspire and support your team of designers to create industry‑changing, customer‑centric solutions.
Build a world‑class enterprise UX team through hiring, developing, and retaining highly talented designers.
Serve as a design thought leader and facilitator by leading with a design‑system centered approach.
Balance design forward‑thinking with approachability to create easy‑to‑use, human‑centered experiences for a broad audience.
Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
Mentor and coach designers, giving and receiving feedback to improve outcomes and foster learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, HCI, UX, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience building and delivering successful B2B and/or consumer products at scale.
Prior design management experience in a collaborative environment with a record of managing effective design teams.
Ability to switch seamlessly between business and design language, setting meaningful goals and advocating for design decisions.
Experience using analytics to justify hypotheses—everything is an experiment.
Recognize great design work and inspire excellence in others.
Servant‑leader mindset: share decision making, encourage ownership and autonomy, drive engagement.
Deep understanding of user‑centric problem solving, design thinking, and the full product development cycle across multiple design disciplines.
Relentless focus on data and optimization while remaining empathic and passionate about customer connection.
Proficient in modern interface design tooling (Figma, Principle, Flinto, etc.).
