The Dignify Solutions, LLC
This position is responsible for working on the core project teams within Client’s Ideation team and corporate innovation area. This individual must have a creative mind, deep understanding of design, strong engineering skills, and a willingness to constantly learn new technologies. Must be proficient with collaboratively facilitating the design of product initiatives, making sense of user needs, and delivering designs for new solutions in new markets. We are looking for an innovator who thrives in rolling up their sleeves and getting involved from defining the market to creating solutions. Ability to work in a team and engage with potential users, translating requirements into technical approaches, and busting through complexity in partnership with product and business models in pursuit of breakthrough solutions that may invent or disrupt the industry.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Understands HCD and Lean/Agile methodologies and performs key activities using these methodologies and respective tools
Work with the Innovation Labs portfolio team to understand a market area and define a solution. Lead the UX idea, turn it into code, and deliver it on schedule.
Prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
Work cross‑functionally with UX team and build collaborative relationships.
Develop robust, reliable prototypes and create plans to outline requirements for launch & scale
Prove UX concepts at a variety of fidelities, including working samples and reference code
Collaborate and communicate effectively using modern suite of available tools
Conduct research and analysis of complex problem spaces leveraging primary & secondary research, and turn research into user‑centered insights, problems and solutions
Actively participate in user interviews and other activities with stakeholders, SMEs
Through user exploration and testing cycles, gather requirements, generate shared understanding, work through trade‑offs, produce ideas, and deliver optimal solutions
Comfort and demonstrated ability to design effective experiments, gather data/signals, and utilize learnings to iterate and evolve the product and business model
Demonstrate the ability to partner with various stakeholders and business partner groups
Contribute (and may lead) discussions, working sessions, and workshops through active planning, collaboration, strong questioning, action items, and sharing knowledge
Embodies the mindset of an innovator (curiosity, tenacity, collaboration, flexibility, creativity, comfort with ambiguity, problem solving)
Demonstrated ability to define the technical feasibility, technical approach, and ability to lead the development of an MVP
Support storyline development with the ability to create POCs quickly that are used for testing cycles/results and product evolution
Build trust through exemplifying embedded user‑centered product design to the organization
Continuously learn through self‑study, engagement with the innovation community, and professional development opportunities (e.g. books, workshops, conferences, certifications)

Apply HCD and Lean/Agile methodologies of solving user problems, designing for ideal experience, ideating expansively, prioritization based on validation and learnings cycles, collaborating, iterating and testing early, nimbly, and often
Demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and change, and introduce strong thinking, planning, and activities to identify the best solutions
Work autonomously, anticipate issues & challenges, propose solutions prior to being prompted
Knowledge, proficiency, and application of technology stacks including JavaScript, React, Node.js, REST services, relational databases, NoSQL databases, CSS/HTML5
Experience with a wide range of technologies that could include: cloud providers, C#, Java, mobile, highly scalable distributed systems, automation, gaming, security, machine learning, and containers
Ability to leverage Sketch, Figma, etc. and utilize within an application
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Experience with status tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Rally, etc.)
Literate in Python specifically in machine learning tools and libraries is a plus
Education, Training
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Four (4) years plus of experience working in a design technologist type role or experience developing new software features. Equivalent experience considered.
Experience in an innovation role preferred – at an innovation consulting firm, a design firm and/or within a corporate innovation team
Prior experience working in startup/incubator environment, product teams, digital agencies (Design Thinking/Agile), corporate innovation, and/or strategy consulting preferred
Strong experience working in software development
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Work samples and/or portfolios required.
