Responsibilities

This position contributes to the creation and distribution of marketing and communications collateral supporting institutional identity, internal client needs, and brand advancement.
  • Designs and prepares high-quality original layouts and designs for a variety of media platforms including ads, posters, brochures, postcards, e-cards and university publications. Works to incorporate Florida State's visual identity and branding images to maintain a unified and consistent look across publications and other media outputs. Interacts with Marketing staff and clients to determine project requirements and priorities to ensure timely production of high-quality promotional materials.
  • Collaborates with faculty and staff to determine project goals, deadlines, and format. Plans and oversees work and production schedules for print and digital projects, as well as consults on proper preparation and technical specifications to achieve desired outcomes. Conducts research of current marketing and communication trends and campaigns used by peer institutions. Reviews proofs and edits as necessary.
  • Execute administrative tasks to facilitate multimedia design projects. Ensure the efficient and prompt management of project files and tracking systems. Provide support with maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Offers guidance to student employees, interns, and OPS personnel by mentoring them in design principles and addressing technical challenges. Maintains up-to-date design and technical competencies through ongoing training, review of professional publications, and participation in relevant educational opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.
