Job Description

WBUR is Boston's NPR and a public media leader. We deliver outstanding journalism across airwaves, digital platforms, on-demand content, and live events. Our mission is to create high-quality reporting and enriching experiences that inspire understanding, connection, and a sense of community for an ever-growing audience.

On Point is one of WBUR's two nationally syndicated shows, broadcast on some 350 stations across the U.S. Its unique, curiosity-driven combination of original reporting, first-person stories, sound design, and in-depth live analysis creates a listener experience that strives to make an increasingly complex world more intelligible and humane. The show is also available as a podcast, on WBUR's website and app.

We are looking for a creative, ambitious, self-starter to join the team of On Point producers. As a producer you will conceive and develop original show ideas, skillfully crafting in-depth, single-topic editions, researching, pre‑interviewing and booking guests, and recording, editing and scripting original production elements in collaboration with the program host and editors.

Your shows will examine a diverse range of issues in unique ways with original guests and perspectives. You are capable of working independently and enjoy being part of a collaborative team whose members seek to elevate each other's work.
