Roles and Responsibilities
As a Paid Media Director, you’ll lead your clients’ Paid Media strategy across paid social and paid search, and oversee the client portfolio, with the support of a team of 2 senior Paid Media Managers and a Paid Media Executive.
You’ll be responsible for being a lead point of contact with our clients, ensuring they’re communicated to effectively, so they are in the know of where we’re taking their strategy and what we’re currently working on.
Our clients typically have budgets between $20k to $500K per month.
Other key responsibilities:
- Continually optimize ad accounts to achieve the absolute best results for clients, considering performance across different channels.
- Help clients understand performance by reporting in a holistic, informative way.
- Get involved in client relationships and communication. Ensuring they’re kept in the loop of exactly what we’re doing to optimise their performance.
- Guide our clients Paid Creative strategy across Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest and others.
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
- Manage and optimize multiple client campaigns to achieve KPIs like engagement, conversions, and ROI.
- Lead and mentor a team of media buyers and specialists, providing guidance and professional development.
- Collaborate with creative, account management, and analytics teams to ensure campaign success.
- Monitor industry trends and platform updates to leverage new features and opportunities.
- Conduct audience research and develop targeting strategies to reach key demographics effectively.
- Analyze campaign performance data, prepare detailed reports, and present insights and recommendations to clients.
- Manage media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and cost control.
- Implement A/B testing, tracking, and attribution strategies to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with platform policies and industry best practices.
- Own the paid media pipeline alongside the commercial team - prospect, pitch, and close new clients.
- Develop and present high-impact paid media strategies and proposals for RFPs, pitches, and upsell opportunities.
- Act as the strategic lead in new business meetings, communicating value, approach, and results confidently to C-suite and marketing decision-makers.
- Build revenue forecasts, margin models, and scalable paid media packages to meet department growth targets.
- Identify opportunities to expand client retainers through channel expansion, testing roadmaps, and performance-driven upsells.
- Oversee workload planning, staffing allocation, and hiring roadmap across Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, etc.
- Build and mentor a high-performing paid media team - ensuring progression, training frameworks, and retention.
- Implement scalable operating processes across QA, performance reviews, campaign build standards, and cross-channel collaboration.
- Collaborate with department heads to improve workflow efficiency and agency-wide resourcing.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in a Paid Social Media role, agency side required
- Ideal candidate will also have proficiency in Paid Search and Google ads
- A data-driven and analytical person who also likes to oversee some of the creative direction.
- You’re a confident communicator and leader. Both internally, as a line manager to our team members and externally with our clients, having strategic conversations with senior client contacts.
- You understand paid creative best practices across platforms, and know how to develop clear performance-driven creative strategies, and write creative briefs for our creative team.
- Constantly curious and adaptable. The Paid Media landscape is always evolving, and staying up to date with platform updates, changes to media strategy, and understanding of the latest creative strategies is what helps us deliver our clients the best possible outcomes.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale advertising budgets and campaigns.
- Strong proficiency with advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.
- Experience with analytics and attribution tools like Looker Studio, Funnel, AdNova, Motion, TripleWhale, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or other reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing trends, algorithms, and best practices.

Compensation Range: $90,000 to $100,000 annually.
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
