Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis.
The Role
As GEPICS Coordinator you will be managing specification data related to broadcast for plant and supplier systems, formats & documents. Responsible for coordinating data and implementation plans for engineering changes, supporting MGO scheduling and inventory management. Support the launch of new model years, working closely with engineering to make proper adjustments for upcoming builds.
What You'll Do
Maintain information in both MGO specs and GEPICS that support broadcast (family address tables, local broadcast block, option families, etc.)
Analyze and update specification data from MGO specs into GEPICS related to current engineering change activity
Utilize various GM systems to analyze broadcast data (GPDS/VDS, POMS, MGO, GEPICS)
Manage processes for controlled changes that require detailed and specific breakpoint timing to ensure no interruption to build and quality processes
Interface with cross functional groups to properly PTR and implement changes
Analyze daily specification error reports (no-hit/multi hit) and resolve data issues with appropriate escalation as necessary
Support ManVal and launch processes for build events through orders/specs analysis to ensure broadcast readiness
Support datafile management / VESCOM release and implementation processes
Process change requests for manifests and build documents with GEPICS configuration
Price Label re-spins
Support launch efforts with pre-broadcast reports, comparisons and manual updates
Work with engineering to resolve issues ahead of builds
Required Qualifications
3+ years of Supply Chain experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related experience/degree
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
High level analytical ability where problems are complex
High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization
High level of computer skills (Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in MGO-A
GMS experience
Knowledge of GM Specifications & Engineering Change Management
Knowledge of Order Management Systems (POMS)
