Eleve Dancewear is searching for a passionate and detail-oriented technical designer to join our design team in Kansas City. In this role, you will examine sketches and analyze design ideas to evaluate their feasibility, collaborate with designer, manufacturers, and vendors, and use your skill and expert eye to ensure that the best products are produced. You will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into functional garments. Your expertise in sewing and garment construction will be essential in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products. A successful technical designer will be passionate, fashion-forward, and possess great technical acumen. Ideal candidates should be deadline-driven, have a keen eye for detail, and demonstrate sound knowledge of industry-related software. Responsibilities: Create digital illustrations from design sketches, line plan for collections. Help source fabric, trim and notions needed to complete look. Communicate with vendors and factory Prepare & attend fit sessions, measuring and preparing fit samples. Document clear and precise notes during fitting. Inspect and measure all samples received in a timely manner. Review TOP's and communicate with designer and production manager. Qualifications: Knowledge of apparel fit, construction and fabric properties Knowledge of garment construction Production experience with multiple factories Bachelor’s Degree in textile/fashion/apparel design or relevant degree Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, a plus if some experience with 2D digital pattern-making. Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills Career-driven, strong work ethic and high-performance standards Strong communication and presentation skills A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal. Problem-solver, solutions orientated Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work on a continual basis, and work with limited supervision. Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs Provide guidance on garment construction techniques and quality standards Proficient in sewing techniques and the operation of sewing machines Strong knowledge of garment construction and pattern making Familiarity with fashion styling and color theory Proficient in MS Office Suite/Google Workspace. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency. Able to be self-motivated, quick learner and adapt to change well. Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
