Position Overview
The Grant Writing Specialist will support the National Director of Foundations and Grants in fundraising and managing ACE's foundation program. This role entails conducting research, drafting grant proposals, and developing strategies to enhance foundation revenue across a thirteen-state region.
Primary Job Responsibilities
1. Support National Foundation Program Development
- Assist in establishing annual fundraising goals for the thirteen-market region.
- Collaborate with local fundraisers to research and identify potential foundation funding prospects.
- Support the process of foundation funding, including writing LOIs, proposals, grants, and necessary documentation.
2. Relationship Management
- Work with local fundraisers to implement effective stewardship strategies aligned with overall fundraising efforts.
- Help cultivate existing foundation relationships to further ACE's mission.
3. Research, Data, and Reporting
- Ensure proposals are supported by current and accurate data reflecting the ACE program's impact.
- Study educational trends, including public education reform and school choice initiatives, to enhance grant submissions.
- Assist with tracking grant deadlines and submissions using internal tracking systems and CRMs.
- Contribute to developing a comprehensive information database for cohesive messaging in grant opportunities.

Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of grant writing experience, preferably in a non-profit development setting with specific fundraising goals.
- Strong professional integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Raisers Edge or similar CRM is a plus.
Location, Travel, and Reporting
- This is a hybrid role based in Colorado or a remote position, preferably in Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, or Montana.
- Reports to the National Director of Foundations and Grants, who is based in Texas.
- 1-5% travel required throughout the year.

Full-time Exempt
Compensation
A competitive annual salary between $65,000 and $75,000, eligible for performance bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
