MEDIA PLANNER (DIGITAL AND SOCIAL)
Summary of Position:
The Media Planner is responsible for campaign management activities across both digital media and paid social plans for the team’s roster of clients. Such activities include campaign set-up, documentation creation and maintenance, QA, performance reporting and billing reconciliation. This is a client-facing role and He/she/they will work with internal teams across all agency pillars. This role is also responsible for identifying and implementing optimizations as approved by senior team members and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Execute, manage, and optimize online media campaigns and programs for agency clients (e.g. performance media, audience-based buying, remarketing, branding campaigns, etc.) both independently, and in support of team managers
- Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail and adherence to digital media and paid social best practices throughout the full campaign life-cycle
- Handle daily campaign maintenance, including internal questions regarding tracking and status of various campaigns
- Assist in the development of client-facing materials, such as presentation decks and campaign performance reports
- Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
- Traffic campaign tags through the ad trafficking platform Google CM360
- Run the campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing and performance
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date billing charts and working with billing department to ensure all bills are paid
- Follow, analyze, and optimize against digital trends and the latest technological advancements in media landscape
- Participate in writing agency POVs to evaluate media opportunities and increase knowledge sharing throughout the company
- Utilize planning tools such as comScore, MRI and other resources to create high level media plan strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, advertising or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience of digital and social media buying in an agency setting
- Advanced knowledge and experience with the following platforms is required:
- Meta Business Manager
- Google Campaign Manager 360
- Experience in other RTB systems: Twitter, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, etc. is preferred
- Experience with programmatic buying a plus
- Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements
- Experience working in an integrated capacity with Planning, Account and Creative teams
- Knowledge and understanding of tools and resources such as comScore, MRI and Vivvix
- Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Strong analytics, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel/Sheets
Salary Range $65,000-77,500
