In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and synthesizing research to create actionable insights for the cross functional product development team. You will translate research data into powerful stories that help shape Target’s products. This role is a key partner to several functions including product managers, UX designers, engineers, data scientists, content designers, accessibility consultants, and site merchandisers.As one of the founding researchers on our newly formed Commercial Merchandising UX Research Team, you’ll be working on the product lifecycle experience to create a connected product & guest experience for Target’s Owned Brands. You will help evolve Target’s digital experience supporting our vendor partners; shaping it with ease, simplicity and growth for businesses to sell their products with Target.

As part of a cross functional team, you will help develop new ways of how we onboard, engage, and support the products we sell.**Responsibilities:**Use your skills, experience, and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals Experience in UX Research methods, including remote moderated & unmoderated testing, online & in-context (store) intercepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to cross functional partnersExceptional interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable speaking to a diverse group of people and leading conversations to discover research insights A strong ability to tell compelling stories from data Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects (both small and large) and adjust to changing prioritiesStrong project management skills – experience managing multiple projects at various stages in the product design life cycle Experience running, recruiting, moderating and analysis of online panels and thinking strategically about their application * Proficient in Powerpoint, Outlook, Word and other MS Office softwareThis position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
