Position Summary
We are seeking a Graphic Designer for a very important client. Responsible for designing and creating packaging and product artwork in support of the manufacturing requirements for all products produced by the Client General Surgery Group. Must incorporate customer requirements and ensure standardization of artwork development in compliance with Client design standards. Large client in medical devices industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the graphic design requirements for instructions for use, user manuals and other product documentation; support for formal artwork approvals; and maintenance of labeling development procedures. Conceives, designs, lays out, and coordinates editorial illustrations and creative artwork. Provides guidance on graphic technology. Works closely with internal company contacts to understand requirements and create cost‑efficient graphic designs through available mediums. May also have responsibility or input on reproduction and printing processes through in‑house resources or outside vendors. Verifies vendor proofs, makes corrections or communicates changes to ensure all printed components match approved artwork files. Effectively manages multiple projects, changes in project scope, and shifting priorities in order to maintain project requirements and ensure deadlines are met. Collaborates with department and cross‑functional peers to ensure proper resolution to questions and issues that arise during the artwork development process. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Requirements
Experience with a variety of tools, including InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and XML based authoring software. Highly collaborative. Works well with others. Experience making graphics used in instructional text (e.g. product illustrations, customer technique, software screens layout). Education: Requires a University Degree. Years’ Experience: 2‑5. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Base Pay Range
$40.00/hr – $50.00/hr Contract Length
1 year contract (could extend or convert to FTE) Location
