Below, you’ll find other important information about this position.The Telecommunications Center Manager is responsible for all aspects of leading, managing, coordinating and supervising all operations of the Mon EMS Telecommunications Center (known as RTAC). The incumbent will build an innovative, efficient, and effective telecommunication team and system to handle all aspects of patient transportation, movement, and customer service. The incumbent will develop a positive working environment and strategic interagency relationships with EMS agencies, Healthcare Systems, and Facilities. The incumbent shall meet and exceed organizational standards, maintain system readiness, achieve operational safety, preserve assets and profitability, create a positive public image and work to achieve the Mission, Vision, and Values of Monongalia EMS.**Minimum Requirements**a. High school diploma or GEDb. Valid driver's licensec. NIMS IS100, IS200, IS700, IS800 (or ability to obtain within 3 months)d. Previous Communications Center, Dispatch, or Operational experience e. 1-2 years of supervisory experience**Preferred Qualifications** a. Bachelor's Degreeb. EMD or equivalent certificationc. NEMSMA Credentialed EMS Officer (SPO, MPO, FACPE) or Certified Communication Center Manager (CCM) or equivalentd. Five (5) plus years of progressively increasing experience as a dispatcher at a similar or higher volume communication center.e. Previous Supervisor experiencef. Previous case management experienceg. Previous EMS billing experience**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**1. Dispatch center manager2. Oversees transport services3. Manages healthcare facility relationships4. Cultivates non-emergency transport mutual aid partnerships5. Provides non-emergency transport dispatch software training to healthcare facilities6. Acts as liaison to owner health system care managements departments7. Works with MECCA (Monongalia Emergency Centralized Communications Agency) to ensure continuity between emergency and non-emergency services providers8. Demonstrates technical expertise by serving as a resource and dispatch and transport subject matter expert for the Supervising EMS Officer (Captain), and staff9. Demonstrates clinical expertise by serving as a resource and role model for transport needs and education10. Reviews and recommends strategic processes, analytics, and initiatives to better serve clients and meet operational goals11. Participates in meeting the goals and objectives of the agency and hospital departments by by contributing to the attainment of processes and systems to increase throughput and services12. Create and maintain accurate reports and records regarding transportation data13. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of regional geography, traffic patterns, transport routes, and time efforts14. Other duties as assigned**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS****Physical Ability**Tasks require the regular and at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects and materials.**Sensory Ability**Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**1. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing2. Ability to mine, curate, and analyze data3. Ability to utilize computing systems that are required for essential job functions4. Reliable and self-motivated5. Ability to understand and solve complex problems6. Strong leadership qualities7.
