What You'll Do

Direct, coordinate, and implement all plant marketing activities

Lead marketing personnel in a professional manner towards achieving performance goals

Establish marketing goals, both financial and non-financial

Investigates new potential sources of consumers of scrap metal. Buys from retail, dealer, industrial customers, repair shops, demolition projects, clean-ups, etc

Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities

Participates in a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, direct mail, email & networking

Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals

Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards

What You'll Need

6-8 years in a metal recycling facility or other related industry

Successful track record of generating new business

Prior experience with pricing & proposal models with the ability to \"hedge\" pricing

Experience selling into the metals distribution industry

Ability to manage and lead a team

Must be able to buy material at a margin and profit to support the plant's marketing goals

Customer Service focused and collaborative as appropriate with internal and external contacts with broad knowledge of marketing and sales practices

Demonstrate leadership and customer service consistent with CMC's Values.

Demonstrate leadership skills and provide coaching, skills development, guidance and support to team members

Exceptional leadership and team building skills

Your Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field required
