What You’ll Do
Define and lead product vision: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research to set design direction across key areas such as content discovery, personalization, playback, and cross‑platform experiences.
Design for scale and global reach: Deliver solutions that serve millions of users worldwide, balancing cultural, technical, and accessibility considerations.
Elevate user engagement: Translate data insights and research into experiences that drive retention, viewing time, and customer satisfaction.
Lead design execution: Create process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups that set the bar for usability and craft.
Champion experimentation: Partner with product teams to design and analyze A/B and multivariate tests that validate assumptions and optimize outcomes.
Mentor and inspire: Coach and support designers at multiple levels, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence across the team.
Drive operational excellence: Ensure documentation and specifications are thorough, consistent, and ready for seamless handoff to engineering and QA.
Be the voice of the viewer: Advocate for user needs in strategic conversations, ensuring every solution is ethical, delightful, and impactful.
What You Bring
Leadership
– Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end design initiatives, set vision, and drive alignment across teams. Experience mentoring designers, providing critique, and fostering a culture of craft and collaboration.
Strategic Thinking
– Deep understanding of streaming and subscription ecosystems, with expertise in discovery, personalization, engagement, and retention. Ability to translate business objectives and audience insights into coherent product strategies.
Craft Excellence
– Strong foundation in interaction, visual, and motion design principles, with a history of shipping high‑quality experiences at scale. Portfolio showcasing multi‑platform design work (CTV, Web, Mobile) with measurable impact on user experience and business outcomes.
Collaboration & Influence
– Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and influence cross‑functional stakeholders. Demonstrated success building strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Research.
User‑Centered & Data‑Informed Design
– Proficiency in user‑centered design methodologies, usability testing, and experimentation frameworks (A/B, MVT, etc.). Ability to balance qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
Tools & Methods
– Expertise with Figma and modern prototyping tools. Familiarity with design systems, accessibility best practices, and platform‑specific guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of related work experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $138,900.00 to $86,200.00 per year, in San Francisco, CA is $152,100.00 to $203,900.00 per year, and in Seattle, WA is $145,400.00 to $195,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
