Collaborate with engineers and the design team to advance and complete a variety of project types, including roadway, bridge, and drainage\nWith limited supervision, produce 2D and 3D models and drafting of civil transportation plans using the latest version of either Microstation or AutoCAD drafting software in accordance with company and client standards\nDevelop highway and roadway infrastructure projects with plans, profiles, superelevation transitions, and cross sections\nProduce conceptual and final construction design plans for utilities, grading, and stormwater\nUse 3D modeling for roadways, drainage, and grading designs\nCoordinate with complimentary disciplines at a project level which may include members of the structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural team\nProduce models for calculating construction quantity takeoffs and creating spreadsheets that summarize estimated quantities\nAssist junior engineers and professionals.\nOpportunity to develop and mentor civil team of designers\nRequirements\nFive+ years of experience as a civil designer or CADD operator\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)\nHigh school graduate, technical degree in BIM/CAD software (preferred)\nProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads / GeoPAK, and OpenRoads Designer\nExperience in various infrastructure project types: Drainage, Roadway, Utilities\nExperience developing and supporting engineering drawings\nExperience with file conversion and file management between multiple digital environments\nFamiliar with or able to become familiar with the following guidelines/standards: AASHTO Highway Design Guide, NYSDOT Highway Design Manual, NYSDOT Bridge Design Manual, MUTCD, NYCDOT standards, NYCDEP standards and other related standards\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and prioritize tasks in a logical order\nStrong verbal communication and time management skills\nSalary range — $65,000-$75,000 annually. Perform geometric designs and plan development utilizing a variety of computer design software, including MicroStation, AutoCadd, InRoads, AutoTurn and GuideSign

Assist in the design of ADA-compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

Zero- five years of civil engineering experience

Detail-oriented, self-starter, and comfortable working in a team environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience with MicroStation V8i and Bentley In-Roads (preferred)

EIT certification and prior internship experience are preferred
