Kubota Tractor
Our farm, construction, and lawn equipment sales and rental business need a Service Writer to act as a liaison between our sales/service businesses and their customers. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing professional who knows about lawn, tractor and construction equipment, and can boost our sales/service revenue and customer satisfaction. Reports to the Maintenance Manager. Excellent benefits after a 90-day probationary period.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma/GED required
5+ years’ in equipment sales
Excellent communication, leadership, ability to handle multiple tasks and personalities skills
Strong knowledge of lawn/tractor/construction equipment
Proven track record in customer service, effective communication strategies and schedule management
Responsibilities & Duties
Ascertains problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms: clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections: taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service records; develop customer relationships
Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records; explaining provisions and exclusions
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s bill
Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering orders into database system
Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return; obtaining customer’s approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact information; answering questions and concerns; arranging pickup and delivery
Maintain records by recording problems and corrective actions
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers’ publications
