Your responsibilities The Industrial Designer II will collaborate with cross-functional teams of other designers, engineers, developers, and product management to create innovative solutions that meet both user needs and key business objectives. They are central to delivering notable perceptions of our brands and creating delightful customer experiences with exceptional results. They will work independently on design projects for different product categories that span from cooking, cooling, and dish care.

Responsible for the conception and realization of the specific brand design for Thermador and Bosch for a single product division in the US and Canada.

Create visionary concepts and designs for cooking and home appliances that support strategic business objectives for our brands.

Think critically and strategically while translating concepts through mock ups, prototypes, using technologies like CAD and technical drawings

Produce high quality design concepts and presentations

Align our design strategy with market requirements

Independently steer the design process from general specifications (e.g. design briefing / briefing of an agency) to realization (in close coordination with development, production, portfolio/product management)

Work with external agencies like design service providers and model makers

Planning, coordination and control of model building and external service providers.

Influence decision-making through clear communication and demonstration of how design deliverables successfully balance requirements, constraints and user needs.

Monitor trends and consumer insights to identify market opportunities

Network and collaborate with global design team

As a lifelong learner, you keep up with technology and design trends, striving for our interfaces to be modern and innovative

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Design) – Required

3-5 Years of Experience (Industrial Design) – Required

Excellent communication skills in order to keep a collaborative dialogue with key stakeholders across the world/time zones

Ability to integrate diverse perspectives

Requires minimal supervision, works independently

Team player and structured problem solver

Focus on results as well as attention to detail

Ability to defend your designs through compelling story telling rooted in data and optimal business goals

Analytical skills and sense for future trends

Consumer centric mindset

Extensive knowledge in Adobe suite, CAD-Software, Miro, and similar working tools with openness to learn new tools

Field of household and kitchen environment is preferred.

Knowledge of foreign languages a plus.

40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).

12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based onyourspecific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
