In this role, you’ll develop engaging programs, provide reader’s advisory and information services, and collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to support literacy and lifelong learning. Job Duties:
Plan, promote, and lead library programs for children and families.
Serves as the library’s liaison to local schools, promoting resources and services.
Provide reader’s advisory, reference, and educational support in person and online.
Develop and maintain youth collections and classroom support materials.
Build strong relationships with schools, teachers, and community organizations.
Create displays, bibliographies, and outreach materials to encourage library use.
Represent the department at library and community events as needed.
Education and Experience: Master of Library Science degree from an ALA‑accredited school, or substantial progress toward completion of the degree and equivalent experience.
Generous benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance. Four weeks of vacation time plus sick and personal leave, paid holidays and enrollment in IMRF pension plan.
Full‑time: FULL‑TIME: 37.50 HOURS PER WEEK Day, evening, and weekend hours, including one Sunday per month. (Sunday hours are paid at time and a half)
$23.84 - $29.80/hour Experience, qualifications and internal equity are used in determining rate of pay.
