Position: Project Engineer - Public Infrastructure Designer
Location: Houston, Texas
Hours: M-F (8-5 flexible as long as 40 hours are worked)
Salary: Up to $125,000

Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of progressive experience in public infrastructure design (municipal, roadway, drainage, water, and wastewater). -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering - Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities - Serve as a key technical contributor on public infrastructure design projects under the direction of Project Managers. - Develop detailed civil construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. - Prepare calculations, cost estimates, and specifications for roadway, drainage, water, and sewer improvements. - Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, utilities, and subconsultants to ensure project success. - Oversee technical aspects of projects including QA/QC, design standards, and regulatory compliance. - Support construction administration tasks, including bid assistance, RFI responses, and field coordination. - Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability. - Contribute to schedule and budget management by proactively identifying challenges and solutions. Required Skills: - Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a solid understanding of design fundamentals. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and drive deadlines independently. - Strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to collaboration. - Progressive experience in public infrastructure design
